We are a growing infusion pharmacy located in beautiful Kalispell, MT, specializing in both sterile (intravenous and injectable preparations) and non-sterile (including hormone replacement therapy, dermatological, and veterinary) compounding. Our mission is to provide personalized, high-quality medications tailored to the unique needs of our patients and providers. We prioritize patient safety, precision, and professionalism in everything we do.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our sterile compounding team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in sterile environments, with a strong commitment to accuracy, cleanliness, and adherence to regulatory standards. There is a possibility of cross-training to non-sterile compounding at a later date.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile compounded medications according to prescription orders, standard operating procedures and Montana and federal law. Maintain proper documentation in compliance with USP , and regulations. Ensure cleanliness and aseptic conditions in sterile compounding areas (cleanroom, laminar flow hoods). Accurately measure and mix ingredients using calibrated equipment. Package and label finished products with a high degree of precision. Assist in inventory control, ordering, and restocking of compounding supplies. Support pharmacists in daily operations and uphold a high standard of patient care and safety.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Willingness to obtain Montana Pharmacy Technician License. Ability to obtain National Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) in a reasonable time. Previous experience in sterile compounding highly preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to aseptic technique. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player. Reliable transportation to and from work.
