Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV admixture procedures and compounding medications in compliance with aseptic techniques and sterile compounding standards. Manage medication inventory through accurate data entry, stock replenishment, and maintaining proper storage conditions. Support patient care by providing medication information, answering questions, and ensuring safe medication administration practices. Perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately for prescriptions, dosages, and IV infusion rates, ensuring precision at all times. Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, including state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and medical terminology standards. Operate pharmacy software systems efficiently for prescription processing, patient record management, and data entry tasks. Maintain patient confidentiality diligently while handling sensitive health information in accordance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program; current registration or licensure as required by state law. Prior experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy setting is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation policies, and medical terminology related to acute care and critical care environments. Experience with IV infusion preparation, sterile compounding techniques, and aseptic procedures in hospital or clinical settings.
