Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately Assist pharmacists with medication inventory management, including stock rotation, monthly expires, and maintaining proper storage conditions. Enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems efficiently while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient information. Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, medical terminology standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Perform drug regulation checks to verify proper labeling, expiration dates, and dosage instructions for all medications. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients with medication questions Uphold patient confidentiality at all times while managing sensitive health information in accordance with privacy regulations. Prefer someone that speaks Armenian, Arabic, Turkish, Spanish, and/or Russian. Experience Previous pharmacy technician experience in retail/independent setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, and pharmacological medical terminology (familiarity with brand/generics) Experience working with PrimeRx/Micromerchant for data entry and medication tracking is essential. Familiarity with community pharmacy operations, including drug regulation compliance and pharmaceutical regulatory standards. Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations, federal pharmacy laws, and drug regulation policies to ensure legal compliance at all times.
