In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Your dedication to patient service and attention to detail will help improve health outcomes and enhance patient care experiences . Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately using pharmacy software systems, Assist with medication inventory management, including stock replenishment and proper storage according to pharmaceutical regulations. Perform pharmaceutical calculations for medication dosages, compounding medications, and drug preparation. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Support patient service activities such as medication intake, data entry, and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare privacy laws. Conduct drug utilization reviews and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety. Keep detailed records of all pharmacy transactions, including inventory logs, incident reports, and regulatory documentation. Stay current on pharmacological medical terminology, medical procedures, and hospital or healthcare regulations to ensure best practices.

Experience Prior experience as a pharmacy technician community pharmacy environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation standards, and sterile compounding techniques. Experience with pharmacy software systems used for data entry, medication tracking, and inventory management. Familiarity with medical terminology related to acute care and pharmacology is essential. Proven ability to maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to strict privacy protocols. Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and communication in fast-paced healthcare settings. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and federal pharmacy laws that govern medication dispensing practices.
