Pharmacy Technician Certification Full Job Description Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining pharmacy inventory
• Prepare and package medications for distribution
• Perform medication order entry and verification
• Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns
• Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of aseptic technique to ensure safe medication administration
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication orders and patient care

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing
• Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for order entry and inventory management
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy team members
• Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and medication orders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, but not required. Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
