Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a full-time role with open availability. This vital position supports pharmacy operations across various healthcare settings, including hospital, community, and specialty pharmacies. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate medication dispensing, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including sterile IV infusions and compounded medications, following aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures. Assist pharmacists with medication inventory management, data entry into pharmacy software systems, and maintaining proper documentation for regulatory compliance. Support patient care activities such as medication intake, drug information dissemination, and ensuring adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws. Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify dosages and ensure safe medication administration. Maintain patient confidentiality while handling sensitive health information in accordance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication orders, verify prescriptions, and ensure proper drug regulation adherence. Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, assisting with medication pick-up, and supporting overall patient care initiatives. Requirements Proven pharmacy technician experience in LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, or community pharmacy settings. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology. Experience with IV infusion preparation, sterile compounding, aseptic technique, and sterile IV admixture procedures. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for data entry and medication management. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred; active state pharmacy technician license required where applicable. Demonstrated understanding of state healthcare regulations and pharmacy laws governing medication dispensing and patient safety. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and maintaining confidentiality. Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
