Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Direct Hire An IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician role is available with a direct hire opportunity, offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position requires providing clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare sterile IV/infused medications adhering to

USP 797, USP

800, and State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations. Maintain call and shipment schedules to guarantee uninterrupted patient care. Manage communication, laboratory data, and clinical information coordination with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams. Accurately enter patient and prescription information into pharmacy software systems following BOP rules. Perform cleaning and upkeep of the pharmacy clean room in line with company policies and BOP standards. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Comply with BOP continuing education and complete annual re-credentialing. Receive and store medications and supplies from vendors. Pick and package supplies and medications for home shipment. Conduct regular inventory counts and support formulary management. Obtain additional state technical licensure as needed to support branch operations.

Qualifications:

Current NY pharmacy technician license and PTCB certification in good standing. Minimum of 1 year infusion setting experience preferred; IV hospital technician experience will be considered. Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system is an advantage. Strong knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
