Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized clinical support in sterile compounding and infusion therapy preparation within a regulated pharmacy environment. The role focuses on preparing injectable and oral medications, ensuring compliance with state and national standards.

Responsibilities:

Prepare sterile IV and infusion medications in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards and state Board of Pharmacy regulations. Maintain call and shipment schedules to guarantee uninterrupted patient care. Collect, document, and coordinate communications between pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams. Enter patient and prescription information accurately using pharmacy software. Perform cleaning and upkeep of the pharmacy clean room consistent with company policy and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Stay current with continuing education requirements and complete annual re-credentialing. Receive and store medications and supplies from vendors. Pick and package supplies and medications for shipment to patients. Assist with regular inventory counts and support formulary management. Obtain additional state technical licensure or registration as needed to support the branch service area.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience in an infusion setting is highly preferred; experience as an IV hospital technician will be considered. Valid NY pharmacy technician license and current PTCB certification in good standing. Knowledge of and familiarity with sterile compounding regulations and standards. Experience using CareTend pharmacy software is desirable.
