This role demands expertise in sterile compounding and pharmacy technician responsibilities centered on home infusion therapies. Candidates will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

Prepare sterile IV and infused medications under pharmacist supervision, adhering to

USP 797, USP

800, and state Board of Pharmacy regulations. Manage call and shipment schedules to guarantee seamless patient care. Collect, document, and relay clinical data and communications between pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams. Enter patient and prescription data accurately into the pharmacy software system within regulatory guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and perform routine upkeep of the pharmacy cleanroom in compliance with policies and state regulations. Participate actively in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Fulfill continuing education and annual re-credentialing requirements mandated by the Board of Pharmacy. Receive and store medications and supplies; pick and package for shipment to patient homes. Participate in inventory management and formulary adherence. Obtain additional state licensures if required to support branch operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum one year of experience in an infusion setting is highly preferred; equivalent experience as an IV hospital technician will be considered. Current, valid New York state pharmacy technician license. PTCB certification active and in good standing. Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy software system is desirable.
