Senior Pharmacy Technician

Description As a Pharmacy Technician Lead, you will be responsible for sterile compounding activities, oversight of cleanroom preparation, inventory management, and adherence to regulatory standards. Perform and lead sterile compounding activities, including accurate preparation, measuring, mixing, labeling, and inspection of sterile products under pharmacist supervision. Maintain strict compliance within ISO‑classified cleanrooms, including proper gowning, hygiene, environmental monitoring, and aseptic technique. , and Ohio Board of Pharmacy compliance, including logs, batch records, audits, and traceability. Inspect compounded products for accuracy, sterility, clarity, and particulate contamination prior to pharmacist verification. Operate, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting on sterile compounding equipment (laminar flow hoods, IV pumps, filtration systems, automated mixers). Manage inventory of sterile supplies and medications, including tracking usage, restocking, rotation, and preventing shortages. Support training and guidance of pharmacy technicians on sterile techniques, documentation practices, and compliance expectations. Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy leadership to address quality issues, improve workflows, and support patient safety initiatives. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2 + years of experience Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy Sterile compounding experience required (hospital or specialty pharmacy strongly preferred) PTCB Sterile Compounding Certification High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience working in regulated pharmacy or cleanroom environments Willingness to work scheduled hours, including overtime if required Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
