Full Job Description Job Description:
Red Cross Drug is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The technician will assist pharmacists in the preparation and compounding of medications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about pharmacy work, as we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in the compounding and preparation of customized medications. Follow strict compounding protocols and procedures. Ensure accurate measurements and safe handling of chemicals and compounds. Label and package compounded medications appropriately. Maintain accurate records of compounded prescriptions. Clean and maintain compounding equipment. Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and ordering materials as needed. Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn compounding techniques and procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow instructions precisely and work under supervision. Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
