Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Certified Pharmacy Technician role based in Canonsburg, PA. The Certified Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in processing and filling prescriptions for long-term care residents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. Daily responsibilities include preparing and packaging medications, labeling and organizing orders, and maintaining proper documentation in pharmacy systems. The role also involves coordinating medication deliveries, communicating with facility staff to clarify orders, and supporting medication management workflows. The technician will help maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety, privacy, and quality standards. Qualifications Ability to accurately process and handle prescriptions, with strong attention to detail and compliance with regulations. Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows, including experience working with pharmacists and other Pharmacy Technicians. Skills in Inventory Control, including tracking medication stock, rotating inventory, and preventing shortages or waste. Strong Customer Service skills for interacting with nursing home and assisted living staff in a professional, responsive manner. Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and registration/licensure as required by the state of Pennsylvania. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and basic computer proficiency. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive tasks.
