Sentara is hiring a PRN/Flexi Pharmacy Technician for our brand new Outpatient Pharmacy at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA.

Flexi/PRN Shift/Hours:
Rotating PRN Open 9am-7pm Monday through Friday Closed Weekends and Major Holidays The Pharmacy Technician performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification/Licensure Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required) CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required) Experience One Year Pharmacy Tech Experience (Preferred)
