Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital or acute care setting. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and pharmaceutical compounding. The Pharmacy Technician will assist in medication preparation, patient service, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Assist in the management of medication inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment following aseptic techniques. Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in critical care settings. Document all medication-related activities accurately and maintain patient confidentiality. Stay informed about new medications, medical terminology, and pharmacy best practices. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in acute care and hospital environments. Experience with patient care services and critical care settings is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions for medication preparation. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Compounding experience preferred. From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
