We're growing fast and looking for teammates who want to help transform health insurance for the better. SUMMARY Curative is seeking a pharmacy technician to join our fast-growing team. This role will provide operational support for processing and filling prescriptions, as well as managing inventory in a non-retail facing environment. Reporting to the Pharmacist, this individual will provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. Must be detail oriented, reliable and possess excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of Pharmacy Performs designated tasks regarding pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy records, inventory control and preparation of orders for drugs Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations including machinery and work areas Applies computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview Maintains automated prescription processing equipment (E.g. Kirby Lester, ScriptPro, etc.) including calibration, stocking, maintenance, proper report execution Answers incoming phone calls and respond to needs of caller Packs and ships completed prescriptions including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser and shipping boxes Works adhering to US regulatory and Quality System requirements (21 CFR 820, etc) Ensures privacy and confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) as required by HIPAA; ensures proper procedures are followed related to prescription delivery to member Assumes and performs other duties as assigned The essential duties and responsibilities outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Experience with an online prescription system Knowledge of medication and dosage measurements Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology (SIG codes, brand, generic names of medications) Outstanding organization skills and keen eye for detail Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Proficient with MS Office applications- Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Active State of Texas registration as certified pharmacy technician (PTCB, CPhT); maintain certification with 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years; recertify 60 days prior to expiration Successful completion of all required training (HIPAA, FWA, etc.)
