The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to patient service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The IV Pharmacy Technician will assist in medication preparation, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Sterile Compounding experience required. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients, including sterile IV medications and other critical care needs. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and health-related inquiries. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients. Adhere to aseptic techniques while preparing medications to ensure safety and efficacy. Support the management of acute care medications and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Keep the pharmacy area organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations. Requirements Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related healthcare role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting. Familiarity with IV infusion processes and aseptic techniques is required. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is mandatory. IV Certification is mandatory.
