Victoria, Texas About Central Drug Compounding & Wellness Central Drug Compounding & Wellness is a licensed, PCAB-accredited sterile compounding pharmacy based in Victoria, Texas. We serve communities across the US and maintain rigorous compounding and quality-assurance standards focused on patient safety, accuracy and consistent product quality. We are seeking an experienced, dependable and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician with hands-on experience in both sterile and nonsterile compounding. Required Qualifications and Skills Hands-on experience preparing both sterile and nonsterile compounded medications Sterile compounding technician certification Knowledge of USP <795> and USP <797> requirements Ability to accurately weigh, measure and process ingredients according to approved formulas Strong attention to detail, organization and documentation Ability to follow established procedures and work effectively under pharmacist supervision Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and compliant laboratory environment Key Responsibilities Prepare sterile and nonsterile compounded medications according to prescriptions, approved formulas and applicable quality standards. Confirm that the pharmacist has reviewed and approved the formulation before beginning preparation. Accurately weigh and measure ingredients for compounds, including suspensions, creams, solutions, ointments, capsules and suppositories. Follow all required compounding procedures in accordance with USP <795>, USP <797> and internal policies. Complete each compounding step accurately and obtain pharmacist verification when required. Package and label completed compounds in the appropriate dispensing containers. Verify that the correct beyond-use date is included on each patient label. Submit completed compounds and supporting documentation to the supervising pharmacist for final verification and approval. Perform and document required quality-assurance checks and testing. Complete daily cleaning responsibilities and maintain all required cleaning logs. Verify and document temperatures, balance weights and other required equipment checks each morning. Confirm that laboratory equipment—including capsule machines, counters and balances—is functioning properly. Load and unload the laboratory dishwasher and maintain an orderly workspace. Complete and maintain all required training and competency documentation. Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
