Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on laboratory procedures with compassionate patient service, ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient clinical workflows while providing a positive experience for every patient. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Collect, process, label, and handle specimens accurately following laboratory protocols and safety standards Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including positioning and preparing patients for examinations or procedures Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, specimen collection, and data entry into electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR standards Support laboratory functions through specimen processing, data entry, and inventory management in accordance with clinical laboratory practices Assist with communication with patients Assist with prior authorization process Requirements Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate data entry and record keeping Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture on diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics or willing to have in office training Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Join us in making a difference by providing high-quality patient care and great team to work with.
