Thursday:
6:30 AM - 5:00 PM ? Three-Day Weekend Every Week ? Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays Off Make a Difference in Patient Care As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care. You'll work closely with physicians and advanced practice providers, delivering both clinical and administrative support to help create an exceptional patient experience. What You'll Do Patient Care & Clinical Support Collect and document patient information, including height, weight, vital signs, symptoms, and current medications Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist providers during exams and treatments Perform diagnostic testing procedures Obtain and prepare blood and urine specimens for laboratory testing Ensure accurate specimen labeling and handling Documentation & Coordination Update and maintain patient medical records Document treatments, medication refills, test results, and patient concerns Process prescriptions, referrals, and prior authorizations Schedule patients for injections and infusions Clinic Operations Maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and laboratory spaces in a clean and safe condition Restock medical supplies as needed Order and manage clinic supplies and medications Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records Help coordinate patient flow while ensuring efficient scheduling and phone coverage Why Join Summit Rheumatology? ? External Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program Current, active BLS before start date 2+ years of Phlebotomy experience 1+ years of clinic experience Proficiency with MS Outlook
Administrative Skills:
Demonstrated ability to comfortably relay information to patients in-person and via phone
Preferred Qualifications:
Current MA Certification
EMR / ECW
experience Experience with eClinicalWorks Experience working in both front and back office of a medical clinic Experience with Prior Authorizations Experience with Insurance Verifications Specialty experience in Dermatology, Gastroenterology or Nephrology
