  • 51/hr Job Overview The Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and other patient specimens, accurately labeling and processing samples, and entering specimen information into the laboratory system.
The role supports daily laboratory operations by ensuring specimens are properly handled, prepared, stored, and delivered for testing. Key Responsibilities Collect blood and other patient specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture. Correctly identify, label, receive, sort, and process patient specimens. Enter specimen and patient information accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Prepare specimens for testing, including mixing, centrifuging, and separating samples when required. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent
  • required Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license — required in California Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience in an acute-care/hospital settings Epic EMR experience
