In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in various settings, including patients' homes, clinics, and community locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of phlebotomy procedures, and the ability to work independently while providing compassionate care to diverse patient populations such as pediatrics and geriatrics. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating accurate diagnostic testing in a mobile environment. Duties Perform specimen collection through venipuncture and capillary draws in accordance with established protocols. Handle and process phlebotomy specimens properly to ensure sample integrity and safety. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, addressing patient concerns, and maintaining professionalism during mobile visits. Adapt collection techniques to meet the needs of pediatric and geriatric patients, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain accurate documentation of all collections and related activities. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Transport specimens securely to designated laboratories or facilities for analysis. Manage scheduling efficiently to maximize patient coverage while maintaining quality standards. Requirements Valid certification or license in phlebotomy from a recognized program or authority. Proven experience in specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations. Experience working with pediatric and geriatric patients is preferred. Ability to work independently in a mobile setting with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between locations. Knowledge of safety protocols related to specimen handling and infection control. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
