This position combines clinical research coordination with hands-on patient care and phlebotomy responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with study participants, performing blood draws, collecting and processing specimens, coordinating clinical trial visits, and maintaining accurate study documentation. Clinical research experience is preferred, but candidates with strong phlebotomy, medical assistant, laboratory, or other relevant clinical experience who are interested in clinical research are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Clinical Research Coordinate clinical trial visits and study-related activities according to study protocols. Assist with participant screening, recruitment, enrollment, and retention. Schedule and coordinate participant visits. Review medical records and study-related documentation. Maintain accurate source documents and essential study records. Enter and maintain study data in electronic systems. Assist with informed consent and protocol-required procedures as delegated and permitted. Coordinate laboratory testing, imaging, procedures, and other study assessments. Communicate with Principal Investigators, Sub-Investigators, sponsors, monitors, and study participants. Assist with monitoring visits, audits, and other study activities. Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP), company SOPs, study protocols, and applicable regulations. Phlebotomy & Clinical Support Perform venipuncture and blood collection according to study protocols and site procedures. Collect, label, process, and prepare blood specimens according to laboratory requirements. Verify participant identification and specimen information. Follow study-specific requirements for specimen processing, storage, and shipment. Maintain accurate documentation of specimen collection and processing. Monitor and maintain adequate phlebotomy and clinical supplies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment. Provide professional and compassionate care to clinical trial participants. Report specimen collection issues or other participant concerns to the appropriate clinical research staff. Qualifications Previous clinical research, phlebotomy, medical assistant, laboratory, or healthcare experience preferred. Current phlebotomy certification or other qualification required to perform phlebotomy in California. Strong venipuncture skills and ability to collect blood specimens accurately. Clinical research or clinical trial experience is a plus. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working directly with patients and study participants. Ability to follow detailed protocols, SOPs, and laboratory instructions. Comfortable using electronic medical records and computer-based systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical research team. Commitment to maintaining participant confidentiality.
