Job Description
We are hiring for two full-time, day-shift positions in Vero Beach, Monday through Friday , with temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities available. We are looking for a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, process specimens, and support patient care, and a Medical Referral Coordinator to manage referrals, appointments, medical records, and insurance-related documentation. Spanish and/or Haitian Creole bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, but bilingual ability is not required. Responsibilities Phlebotomist Perform venipunctures and collect, label, and process blood specimens. Verify patient information and maintain accurate records. Follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures. Provide a comfortable and professional patient experience. Maintain a clean, stocked work area and assist the medical team as needed. Medical Referral Coordinator Process patient referrals and coordinate appointments with specialists and healthcare providers. Obtain medical records, authorizations, and supporting documentation. Verify patient and insurance information. Communicate with patients and medical offices regarding appointments and referral status. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and follow HIPAA requirements. Requirements Phlebotomist Previous phlebotomy experience required . Phlebotomy training or certification strongly preferred. Excellent patient-care and communication skills. Ability to work accurately in a busy medical environment. Professional appearance and dependable attendance. Medical Referral Coordinator Previous medical-office, referral, scheduling, or patient-service experience preferred. Strong telephone, computer, and customer-service skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy medical office. Professional communication and dependable attendance. For Both Positions Must be able to provide a valid driver's license. Must be able to provide certification or proof of highest level of education completed. Must be able to provide immunization records. Current BLS certification required for clinical positions. Candidates without a current BLS certification may obtain it online through the National CPR Foundation. Must be willing to complete a background check and drug screen.
