As a Phlebotomist, you'll be one of the first healthcare professionals patients interact with during their care journey. Your compassion, attention to detail, and technical skills will help create a positive patient experience while ensuring high-quality specimen collection and accurate test results.
Shift:
PRN What You'll Do:
Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary draws for laboratory testing, blood donations, and other diagnostic purposes. Verify patient identification and ensure specimen accuracy throughout the collection process. Label, process, and transport specimens according to established protocols. Maintain patient comfort, safety, and dignity during all collection procedures. Explain procedures and help alleviate patient concerns to create a positive experience. Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards. Collaborate with laboratory staff, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements. Education- High School Diploma or GED required. Experience
- One to two years of phlebotomy or related healthcare experience preferred. Certifications
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Compensation:
Hourly Range- $17•$25.
