Position Overview As a Full-Time Mobile Specimen Collector , you will play an essential role in collecting blood, toxicology, and pathology specimens from patients in mobile and assisted living settings throughout Springfield, IL and surrounding areas. This position offers a high level of independence while still allowing you to collaborate with a supportive and knowledgeable team. You will be responsible for ensuring specimens are collected, documented, handled, and transported safely and efficiently, providing critical information that directly supports patient care. The ideal candidate has at least one year of phlebotomy or medical assisting experience, holds a valid phlebotomy certification, and is comfortable traveling throughout an assigned service area. Service Areas Springfield, IL Surrounding regions within approximately two hours of Springfield Schedule Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Full-Time Key Responsibilities Collect blood, toxicology, and pathology specimens from patients in a variety of mobile and assisted living settings Ensure all necessary collection materials, supplies, and equipment are properly stocked and organized for testing Perform accurate data entry and maintain thorough tracking records for specimens shipped via FedEx Maintain specimen integrity throughout the collection, handling, and transportation process Communicate closely with supervisors and other relevant parties to provide timely updates regarding patient status Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service during patient interactions Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Follow detailed collection procedures and laboratory protocols Complete additional duties and assignments as needed while collaborating with the broader GTI team What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED (required) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification (required) At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience highly preferred Phlebotomy or medical assisting experience preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area Excellent communication skills Strong customer service orientation Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and complete HIPAA training upon hire Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Professional, dependable, and accountable Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment
Pay & Benefits Pay:
Starting at $22/hour, with competitive adjustments based on experience and location
