Mobile Phlebotomist Premier Health Group Clifton, NJ Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Certified Phlebotomy Technician Customer service High school diploma or GED Driver's License Organizational skills Full Job Description Position Summary Premier Health Group is seeking experienced and dependable Mobile Phlebotomists to perform blood draws at patients' homes, medical offices, and other assigned locations. Candidates must provide compassionate patient care, maintain specimen integrity, and follow all safety, confidentiality, and laboratory requirements. Essential Responsibilities Travel to assigned locations to perform scheduled blood draws. Verify patient identity and laboratory orders before collection. Perform venipunctures and other authorized specimen-collection procedures. Accurately label, process, store, and prepare specimens for transport. Maintain proper specimen integrity and chain of custody. Deliver or coordinate the timely delivery of specimens to the designated laboratory. Document completed and unsuccessful collection attempts accurately. Communicate professionally with patients, providers, laboratory personnel, and scheduling staff. Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and universal-precaution requirements. Safely dispose of needles and biohazardous materials. Maintain an adequate supply of collection materials and equipment. Immediately report collection issues, patient reactions, specimen problems, or scheduling delays. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program. National phlebotomy certification preferred. At least one year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Experience performing mobile, geriatric, pediatric, or difficult blood draws is a plus. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required. Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area. Ability to work independently and manage appointments efficiently. Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills. Smartphone and ability to use mobile scheduling or documentation systems. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and accurately handle sensitive information. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive hand movements. Ability to carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform blood draws safely. Regular exposure to blood, bodily fluids, sharps, and potentially infectious materials. Compensation Mobile Phlebotomists will be paid $20 for each successfully completed blood draw. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
