The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. Seeking a MA that can work on there own. We work heavily doing lab work and testing, and need to be quick with seeing patients, documentation in a timely matter, able to order labs and draw blood for labs to go out. Hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, Lunch is 1-130pm. If you are not an MA or do not know how to draw blood, do not apply! Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed during patient care. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician. Conduct X-ray procedures when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on emergency medicine protocols and anatomy knowledge to provide effective assistance. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Certification as a Medical Assistant is required. Certification as a Phlebotomist is required. Experience in emergency medicine is highly desirable. Knowledge of anatomy is essential for effective patient assessment. Familiarity with medical administrative tasks, including coding and record management. Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and basic life support techniques. Experience working in an inpatient setting is preferred. Previous exposure to operating rooms (OR) is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
