Job Title:
Phlebotomist II - Tualatin, OR Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Phlebotomist II in Tualatin. This role involves greeting patients, performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and updating patient information. You will ensure the highest standards of specimen collection and storage, explain venipuncture processes, and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. Your ability to provide excellent customer service will be essential as you handle insurance, billing, and inquiries. Responsibilities + Greet patients as they arrive at the lab and explain procedures clearly. + Perform blood draws using straight or butterfly needles. + Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test order requirements. + Ensure 100% accuracy by matching requisition forms to specimen tubes. + Package specimens for transport and store them at the required temperature. + Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings. + Answer phone inquiries and read laboratory results to callers. + Prepare the site and handle insurance and billing processes. Essential Skills + Phlebotomy certification and 6+ months of experience in the field. + Customer service experience in any setting. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. + Ability to take feedback well and eagerness to learn. + Positive, hardworking attitude and ability to work well with others. + Proven reliability and positive attendance record. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED. + Knowledge of medical terminology, data entry, and specimen processing. + Experience with geriatric patients is a plus. Work Environment This position operates Monday through Friday, from 1 PM to 9:30 PM, in Tualatin, OR. The role is contracted for an initial period of 3 months, with potential extensions based on performance and business needs. On rare occasions, you may be asked to float to nearby locations. The work environment is supportive, with opportunities for growth across various departments. Dress code is professional, in alignment with lab and healthcare standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.11/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
