In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality blood collection and other specimen collection services to patients in various locations. Your expertise in venipuncture and patient care will ensure that specimens are collected accurately and safely, contributing to effective laboratory procedures and patient diagnostics. Duties Perform blood draws and specimen collection from patients in Assisted Living Facilities and Home settings Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions patients may have. Process specimens according to laboratory protocols, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations and clinical laboratory standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate specimen handling and processing. Stay updated on laboratory techniques and procedures to enhance service delivery. Requirements 3 years experience in venipuncture and blood collection techniques. 1 year Mobile Phlebotomy experience. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and clinical laboratory practices. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Familiarity with specimen collection processing and handling protocols. Understanding of physiology knowledge relevant to blood collection. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a mobile setting. Aseptic technique proficiency is essential for maintaining safety standards during specimen collection.
