Job Description
Create a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly to patients and demonstrating professionalism Ensure safety and compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations Perform collections at various locations, including patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy sites, with flexibility for travel and flexible hours Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality and error-free work Required Skills Excellent phlebotomy skills, with the ability to collect from pediatric and geriatric patients Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen labeling and documentation Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication skills to interact effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record if travel is required Keyboard and data entry proficiency Additional Skills & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Experience working in a patient service center environment is highly preferred Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime to meet staffing needs Strong customer service orientation and ability to adapt to change Perform meaningful work in a supportive setting that values accuracy, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
