Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where your expertise in specimen collection and patient care will make a meaningful difference in community health. In this energetic role, you will travel to various patient locations, including homes, clinics, and hospitals, to perform blood draws and other laboratory specimen collections with precision and compassion. Your proactive approach ensures timely sample processing and excellent patient service, contributing to accurate diagnostics and improved health outcomes. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity. Collect, process, and handle laboratory specimens according to established protocols, maintaining proper labeling and documentation. Travel efficiently between patient sites, including residential homes, clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support comprehensive patient assessments. Maintain accurate data entry into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for seamless documentation. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout specimen collection procedures while providing exceptional customer service. Follow laboratory procedures and safety protocols diligently, including proper specimen handling and adherence to infection control standards. Experience Prior experience in medical laboratory work or clinical settings involving specimen collection is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and terminology related to phlebotomy and blood sampling. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required to handle emergency situations confidently. Experience working in hospital environments or with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics and pediatrics is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and documentation is essential for efficient workflow management. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory processes ensures accurate specimen collection. Ability to lift heavy equipment or specimens safely while maintaining proper body mechanics is necessary for daily tasks.
