Job Description
Overview Responsible for preparing patients for treatment, testing, and examination by a Provider; assists licensed nurse with patient flow, connecting patients with ancillary services, maintains work area and exam rooms, as well as stocks supplies. You ability to make an impact is limited only by your passion and creativity. Responsibilities Performs venipuncture, arterial puncture, capillary puncture, and other fluid collection on patients. Performs waive test sample collection, processing and resulting. Ensures specimens are appropriately labeled and identified for lab processing. Responsible for instrumentation, supplies, ordering, and other quality assignments. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA. When employee holds a Medical Assistant Certified and is assigned: Responsible for preparing the day's flow of patients through the clinic. When employee holds a Medical Assistant Certified and is assigned: Responsible for patient flow during the work day, ensuring that Provider and patient needs are met When employee holds a Medical Assistant Certified and is assigned: Communicates with patients, as directed by Provider and Licensed Nurse.
