Key Qualifications:
Active licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Alabama Prior experience providing physical therapy in school settings preferred Comfortable managing a varied K-12 caseload, tailoring approaches for different age groups and abilities Skillful communicator who collaborates effectively with teachers, parents, and fellow school professionals Able to work independently and maintain detailed and accurate documentation Organized, reliable, and passionate about student-centered care
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to K-12 students, helping them access the curriculum and school environment Evaluate students' physical abilities using evidence-based tools and develop appropriate therapy goals Plan and implement therapeutic interventions and monitor progress through regular documentation Collaborate with educators and families to ensure coordinated support for each student's needs Adapt therapy plans and strategies to meet the changing needs of students throughout the school year Consult with the school team on best practices, equipment recommendations, and accommodations Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations specific to school-based physical therapy This role provides the unique opportunity to positively impact young lives, while enjoying a part-time schedule of 2 hours per week—ideal for adding variety to your professional life or balancing multiple commitments.
