1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and an Arizona PT license in hand. Details Acute Care PT unit with an average daily census of 11 4x10-hour day shifts, Sunday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM One weekend day required per scheduling rotation Department operates 7 days a week May be asked to float to surrounding clinics No on-call requirements Uses Cerner for charting Facility allows up to 6 call-offs during the 13-week assignment Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PT experience required Current Arizona PT license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable) BLS certification (American Heart Association) required Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required Wound care certification preferred Preferred candidate is a generalist confident managing varied medical diagnoses Preferred experience managing mod-max assist patients, co-treatments, and ventilated patients Ability to pivot easily and pick up additional evaluations throughout the day preferred Additional Information Facility is a Short Term Acute Care, Teaching hospital with Level IV trauma designation and 87 staffed beds Business casual dress code, no scrub color specified Free parking available on-site All staff expected to adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration (BCMA) First-time travelers accepted Locals accepted RTO requires unit manager approval No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation Candidates must be available to work 2 recognized holidays Orientation includes required modules completed during the first week, averaging about 6 billable hours Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions, including to nearby affiliate hospitals or other units based on skills and census needs Travel pairs accepted on this unit
