Work Environment Your role will be conducted in our modern rehabilitation facility located in Oxnard, known for its welcoming atmosphere and supportive team culture. You will work in an open clinic setting that encourages interaction among staff and collaboration on patient care. Our facility is designed with patient comfort in mind, featuring private treatment rooms, rehabilitation equipment, and areas optimized for exercise therapy. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients, utilizing sophisticated evaluative techniques, including range of motion and functional assessments, to determine specific musculoskeletal conditions and impairments. Develop individualized treatment plans that align with both the therapeutic goals of each patient and the recommendations of referring physicians. Make modifications to these plans based on ongoing patient performance and progress. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and cold therapy, all tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Educate and instruct patients, their families, and caregivers on proper self-care techniques and home exercise programs to promote independence and enhance clinical outcomes. Act as a resource and consultant to fellow healthcare providers on matters related to physical function, treatment protocols, and the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Supervise and mentor non-professional staff and support personnel in the delivery of therapeutic care, ensuring compliance with established treatment plans and safety standards. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic serves a wide array of patients, primarily focusing on individuals suffering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. The clientele ranges from active adults to elderly patients, all seeking to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. As a Physical Therapist, you will develop meaningful relationships with patients and be an essential part of their recovery journeys, providing compassionate care that fosters lasting improvements in their physical health. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred. Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of California. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is required. A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures is mandatory. Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create and conduct personalized exercise regimens. Preferred Experience Experience in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting is a plus. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and rehabilitation documentation software. Certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy, such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), are advantageous.
