Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active licensure to practice Physical Therapy in California Prior experience as a PT in school or pediatric settings highly preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance Ability to design, implement, and monitor therapeutic interventions in academic environments Exceptional communication and organizational skills Evidence of teamwork and adaptability across multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' physical needs in accordance with IEP guidelines Develop and deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in various school settings Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and families to establish and achieve therapy goals Document student progress, maintain detailed records, and contribute to IEP meetings Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support students' physical development and access to curriculum Adapt therapy interventions based on student response and classroom needs This contract position offers the chance to work in a supportive school environment, engaging in rewarding work that aligns with your professional experience.
