1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with strong orthopedic experience and 2+ years of PT practice for a 13-week travel assignment. Details Outpatient Physical Therapy unit setting Focus on outpatient orthopedic caseload Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm and Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm Flexible shift assignments across days of week and hours as needed Requirements Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program PT licensure required if applicable (approved license applicants or resident training program employees will also be considered) Current BLS certification (AHA) Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience required Strong outpatient orthopedic experience required Additional Information Responsibilities include planning, preparing, and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment programs Complete patient evaluations, tests, and documentation per established standards and regulatory requirements Develop and update patient Plans of Care based on exam findings and diagnosis Assess and progress patient treatment according to established standards Complete documentation related to charge capture per department standards Coordinate patient care effectively with other providers and support team members Provide clinical supervision to assistants and/or aides Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects Inspect and use equipment per manufacturer guidelines, recording data and reporting malfunctions per policy Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius Returning employees/travelers must have a 1-year separation before returning to this facility Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
