This position will treat a broad orthopedic caseload - not only hand and upper-extremity conditions. The ideal candidate enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic diagnoses and wants to join a collaborative, therapist-owned practice. This position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the caseload grows. Position Details Part-time, approximately 16-24 hours per week initially Opportunity to grow into a 32-40-hour full-time position Located in Simi Valley, California Flexible weekday schedule Pay range: $45-$55 per hour, depending on experience Patient Population The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions, including: Neck and back pain Shoulder and elbow injuries Hip, knee, ankle, and foot conditions Postoperative orthopedic rehabilitation Sports- and work-related injuries Balance, strength, and mobility limitations Hand and upper-extremity conditions, as appropriate Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations Develop and carry out individualized plans of care Provide evidence-based treatment for a diverse orthopedic caseload Educate patients regarding their condition, home program, activity modification, and injury prevention Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation Communicate with referring physicians and other members of the rehabilitation team Collaborate with our PTs, OTs, Certified Hand Therapists, aides, and administrative team Contribute to a supportive and positive clinic environment Qualifications Current California Physical Therapist license Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred Ability to evaluate and treat a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions Dependable, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team New graduates with strong orthopedic clinical experience are welcome to apply What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Flexible part-time scheduling Opportunity to build a caseload and transition into full-time employment Mentorship and collaboration with experienced orthopedic therapists and Certified Hand Therapists Administrative and rehabilitation aide support Established relationships with local physicians and referral sources A friendly, therapist-owned work environment Opportunities for continued professional development About Us Hand Rehabilitation Specialists is a therapist-owned outpatient rehabilitation practice serving the Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks communities.
