Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting K-5 students as a part-time Physical Therapist. Work within a welcoming, child-centered school environment, providing essential therapy services that make a difference in students' daily lives and long-term growth. This contract position begins at the start of the school year and runs through its conclusion, with a flexible two-day-per-week schedule. You'll have the opportunity to shape young lives, collaborate with dedicated educators, and be an integral part of each child's educational journey.
Qualifications:
Valid and active Physical Therapist license in Connecticut School-based or pediatric PT experience strongly preferred Expertise in delivering therapy services in educational settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt approaches for a variety of physical and developmental needs Comfortable with virtual interviews via
Google Meets Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to a diverse caseload of K-5 students (caseload may vary) Evaluate, plan, and execute therapy interventions supporting students' mobility, participation, and safety in the school setting Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into students' daily routines Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies Attend IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education plans as needed Stay current with best practices in school-based physical therapy This position offers a supportive team dynamic, a manageable caseload within a single school site, and the chance to lead interventions that have a lasting positive impact. Training will be provided as needed, and the onboarding process is streamlined with quick decision times following interviews.
