Part Time Physical Therapist (PT) School-Based Hubbard Day North - 3.6 Rocky Hill, CT Job Details Part-time $48 - $55 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Teamwork Physical Therapy Master's degree Working with students Physical Therapy License Full Job Description Hubbard North is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis, one day per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a PT looking for a consistent, school-based schedule while making a meaningful impact on the development, mobility, and independence of students. The Physical Therapist will provide individualized services and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support each student's physical and functional needs within the school environment. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy evaluations and individualized treatment to students. Develop and implement therapy goals based on each student's needs and abilities. Address gross motor development, mobility, balance, coordination, strength, positioning, and functional independence. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies as appropriate. Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavioral staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Provide recommendations and strategies to support students' physical needs throughout the school day. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress notes. Communicate appropriately with families regarding student progress and recommendations. Participate in relevant team meetings and contribute to a student-centered approach. Maintain compliance with professional standards, school policies, and applicable regulations. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current Connecticut Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure. Pediatric or school-based experience preferred. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
