Step into a dynamic school-based environment serving students with diverse physical therapy needs. This contract opportunity near Newark, DE, offers a rewarding experience supporting both school-site and medically homebound students within the district from August 25, 2026, through June 8, 2027. Flexibility is keywhether you prefer a full-time or part-time schedule, you can tailor the 37.5-hour workweek (Monday through Friday) to match your professional goals. Your impact will be felt as you work closely with a collaborative educational team, fostering student growth and independence in both traditional classrooms and home settings. Desired Qualifications:
Active Delaware Physical Therapist license is required Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required Willingness to provide services on-site and to students who are medically homebound Strong communication and organizational skills Comfort adapting to caseload fluctuations Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students with diverse needs per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Travel as needed to provide support to medically homebound students Develop and implement intervention strategies that promote functional independence Evaluate student progress and adjust interventions accordingly Document services and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state guidelines Collaborate with educators, families, and additional support staff to maximize student success This opportunity allows you to make a tangible difference in both school settings and home environments, all while enjoying a contract role that fits your preferred schedule.
