9595974-19702 Job Description Exciting opportunities are available for a dedicated Physical Therapist eager to support students growth and mobility in a dynamic school environment near Newark, DE. This contract position offers the flexibility to work either full-time or part-time, providing a consistent schedule Monday through Friday, and requires onsite commitment with occasional homebound visits to serve students across the district. The role starts August 25, 2026, and continues through June 8, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Active Delaware Physical Therapist license (candidates must present valid licensure and resume to be considered) Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based PT Ability to travel between school sites and homebound locations within the district Excellent communication and documentation skills Compassionate, adaptable, and self-motivated approach to diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students within school settings and, when needed, provide care at student homes for medically homebound cases Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment strategies addressing IEP goals Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, families, and administration for holistic student support Adjust caseload management as needs shift throughout the school year Maintain accurate, timely records and progress notes in compliance with district and state regulations Contribute to student assessments, team meetings, and individualized education planning Enjoy the rewards of empowering each student to achieve their fullest physical potential in a supportive educational environment.
