  • Acute Care Physical Therapist Responsibilities:
  • + Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute-care patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, medical/surgical, and trauma-related conditions.
+ Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on restoring function, mobility, and independence. + Provide interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and patient/caregiver education. + Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. + Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, case managers, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and other members of the care team. + Collaborate on discharge planning, including recommending appropriate next levels of care and durable medical equipment. + Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making. + Maintain compliance with departmental safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and quality standards. + Support mentorship, onboarding, and collaboration with therapy assistants and students as applicable.

  • + Required BLS (Basic Life Support) + Required PT (Physical Therapy) + Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain + Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months + Required Bachelor's Physical Therapy + Preferred 1 year Physical Therapist
