Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to understand each patient's physical capabilities and challenges. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with both patient goals and best practices in orthopedic therapy. Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities to treat conditions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and nursing staff, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Regularly reassess patient progress and revise treatment plans based on evolving patient needs and feedback. Maintain meticulous documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes as per organizational policies. Advocate for patient care and ensure compliance with state laws and professional standards throughout your practice. Engage in continuous education and training to remain current with advances in orthopedic therapy and rehabilitation techniques. Patient Population / Client Focus As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Life and Wellness Services, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of the specific needs of these patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and seniors, each with unique recovery goals and physical capacities. Our therapists strive to cultivate a trusting relationship with every patient, ensuring open communication throughout the rehabilitation process. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited program in physical therapy. Additionally, applicants must hold a current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida, with a temporary permit also acceptable during the credentialing process. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, you should demonstrate a strong foundation in orthopedic therapy techniques and principles. Preferred Experience While new graduates are welcome, candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in orthopedic therapy, particularly in an outpatient setting, will be highly preferred. Experience in using digital documentation systems and familiarity with therapeutic modalities will also be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
