Job Description

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to short-term rehab and long-term care residents. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life. You will collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, and medical teams, document progress, and educate residents and families. Responsibilities Evaluate residents' functional status, mobility, strength, and balance Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and functional mobility interventions Use therapeutic modalities as appropriate and within scope of practice Document evaluations, treatments, and progress accurately in EMRCollaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and medical teams on care plans Educate residents and families on exercises, safety, and mobility strategies Participate in care conferences and discharge planning Adhere to regulatory, ethical, and facility standards of care Contribute to a resident-centered, compassionate, and collaborative culture Required Skills Physical therapy evaluation Treatment planning Gait training Therapeutic exercise Neuromuscular re-education Modalities application Documentation/EMRInterdisciplinary collaboration Patient and family education Fall prevention
