Position Overview Fairview Rehabilitation Center is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in beautiful Punta Gorda, Florida. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations, reviewing relevant patient histories, performing assessments, and determining appropriate treatment recommendations. Communicate evaluation findings and collaboratively establish treatment plans with patients and their families, incorporating their feedback into goal-setting. Demonstrate expertise in implementing effective treatment protocols tailored to each patient's individual needs and conditions. Consult with other healthcare professionals as necessary to ensure comprehensive care, documenting any significant changes in patients' health that necessitate modifications in the care plan. Prepare detailed discharge plans and provide clear follow-up care instructions for patients and their families. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely, creating clear records including evaluations, plans of care, daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations. Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations while maintaining a reliable and punctual schedule. Engage in marketing activities to promote the rehabilitation services within the community, enhancing access to care for potential patients. Contribute to departmental goals while adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards. Pursue professional growth by taking initiative in continuing education, enabling you to stay current with industry advancements. Promote a positive customer service experience by demonstrating adaptability and an understanding of patient needs. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideals of Fairview Rehabilitation Center emphasize a strong focus on patient outcomes. You will work closely with a diverse population, primarily consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal issues. Your role is critical in helping each patient regain mobility and strength, all while providing support and education to enhance their overall healing journey. Qualifications Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A state license to practice physical therapy as required for your specific location. Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification. While prior experience is not mandatory, a passion for patient care and willingness to learn are essential. Preferred Experience While we welcome applications from new graduates, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings are highly encouraged to apply. Proficiency in various rehabilitation techniques and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) will be a valuable asset in this role. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
