Job Description

PruittHealth is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to provide evidence-based rehabilitation services in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve function. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document outcomes. Responsibilities Evaluate patients using standardized physical therapy assessments Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual therapy Monitor, document, and report patient progress using EMR systems Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians on care plans Educate patients and families on home exercise and safety strategies Participate in care conferences and discharge planning Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and documentation standards Contribute to quality improvement and best-practice initiatives Support and mentor team members as appropriate Required Skills Orthopedic assessment and treatment Neurologic rehabilitation techniques Therapeutic exercise prescription Gait training and balance interventions Manual therapy techniques Pain management modalities Functional mobility and transfer training Care planning and documentation (EMR) Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration
