Job Description
Perform a variety of routine and complex transportation of materials to various location sites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Perform all required pre-shift safety inspection of vehicle per Company requirements. 2. Operation of hauling trucks off public highways. 3. Accurately complete and turn in daily hauling report and weight tickets. 4. Ability to complete equipment inspections. 5. Ability to read and write description of mechanical problems and repairs. 6. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor or truck shop. 7. Review all cab controls and indicators. 8. Accurately record and submit to payroll all shop time, wait time, downtime, and time spent in training. Essential Job Functions 1. Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, reach, pull and lift. 2. Ability to sit for long periods of time. 3. Ability to drive off road bumpy conditions daily. 4. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. 5. Agility and strength to climb on and off truck using 3-points of contact. 6. Ability to work in all weather conditions. 7. Ability to work with fuel, dust, lubricants and solvents. 8. Dexterous use of both hands and feet. Preferred Qualifications 1. High School diploma or GED preferred. Position Requirements 1. Comply with all Company policies and procedures. 2. Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures with the intent to maintain a safe working environment. Report all safety incidents, accidents or injuries to supervisor immediately. 3. Participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings. 4. Ability to complete assigned tasks, work independently, and possess strong verbal communication skills. 5. Must understand and comply with Personal Protective Equipment requirements for work area.
