Responsibilities:
Make a meaningful impact by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients across a variety of care settings. You'll develop individualized treatment plans, establish functional goals, provide evidence-based interventions, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional outcomes. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and billing, coordinate care with providers and community resources, participate in care conferences, and ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. Help shape a culture of excellence by supporting quality improvement initiatives, maintaining clinical competency, promoting patient safety, contributing to program development, and partnering with leadership to enhance the patient experience and operational performance.
Qualifications:
Meets educational requirements as necessary for obtaining professional license in Physical Therapy Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Physical Therapist in Iowa. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire. Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office - basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vehicle, rental or own vehicle.
