Job Description
Part-Time Opportunity As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) , you'll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver personalized treatment plans that restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. Whether you're helping a patient take their first steps after surgery or supporting someone on their journey back to independence, you'll play a vital role in their recovery. What You'll Do Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Assist with patient evaluations by observing and documenting functional abilities, mobility, endurance, pain levels, and overall progress. Guide patients through individualized therapeutic exercise programs designed to improve strength, balance, coordination, and mobility. Perform therapeutic interventions including stretching, manual techniques, and other approved treatment modalities. Train patients in the safe use of assistive devices such as walkers, canes, and wheelchairs. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and continued recovery after therapy. Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress using electronic medical records while maintaining compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements. Prepare and maintain treatment areas and therapy equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment. Assist patients with transfers and transportation to and from therapy sessions as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional patient-centered care. Perform other duties that support the success of the rehabilitation department. What We're Looking For Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current Idaho Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach. Working knowledge of electronic medical records and clinical documentation standards. Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer documentation requirements. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
